Here's a beautiful
1956 DuMont
Clock Radio
for your consideration. This radio doesn't show up often, especially in the clock radio version. The clock, so far, keeps perfect time and the radio picks up many stations. The knobs all appear to be original.
There's an 1100 watt convenience plug on the back.
Look over the pictures carefully to make sure the condition of the radio is acceptable to you.
They offer a better external description than I could.
There are a couple of barely noticeable fault lines in the ivory finish around the clock numbers, but it appears they may have been there since the front was originally molded.
I've listened to AM hockey games, baseball games, and talk shows. By the way, if you want to set the alarm, pull the Alarm Set knob out. This is another radio I wouldn't mind keeping for myself. My wife likes it but will like it much better when it's sold. Please don't mess with the electronics unless you're experienced working on vintage radios due to the presence of high voltages. You probably won't need to for quite a while with this one, anyway, since the tubes and electronics are in good shape. I'll take special care packing the radio for shipping, but since this radio is old, I can't guarantee anything other than it was working when packed.
