This Sony ICF-5900W Multi-Band Portable Radio Looks Great, Works Great!

If I had a choice, I'd keep this Sony ICF-5900W radio for myself, it's that great!
This was one of Sony's top of the line units back in 1975-76. Along with standard
broadcast AM and FM it also has 3 shortwave bands. There's a BFO switch so you
can copy code on the ham freqs along with an adjustable bandspread dial to help
control drift.  It has a 33" telescoping antenna as well as connectors for an external
one if desired.  It's powered by 3 standard "D" cells or a 4.5 VDC external supply.
This unit is in excellent operational and physical condition as shown in the pictures.
The case if free of cracks and dings, and all controls work smoothly although the
bandswitch is a bit noisy when changing bands.  The telescoping antenna is straight
and battery compartment has no evidence of corrosion.  Even the dial light works,
(sorry for the crummy photo.) Great audio on all bands with plenty of volume.
All things considered, you're bidding on a great classic radio that works on all bands,
but as with all electronics this age, we must offer it for sale "AS-IS"... but fear not, you
