Roberts R900 Vintage Transistor Radio with swivel base /retractable Aerial

Description

Roberts R900 Radio. Condition is "Used".  No power cord included. Works great on three 9 volt batteries. Batteries also Not Included.
The R900 is a mains or battery portable with three integrated circuits and covers the long and medium wavebands plus the full VHF FM band from 88MHz to 108 MHz.
It has a 32" telescopic aerial for FM reception and an internal ferrite rod for the AM wavebands.
There is also a headphone socket which mutes the internal speaker, a 5 pin DIN socket for tape recorder etc. and separate rotary bass and treble tone controls. It has a strong plastic covered metal carry handle.
The radio stands on the usual Roberts turntable base for the best reception from the internal ferrite rod.
It works on either a 9Volt PP9 BATTERY (PP9 NOT INCLUDED)  OR 3 9 volt batteries. There was a modification to run this Radio on the 3 9 volt batteries. I have included pictures of the modification. There is also some slight scuffing on the bottom cover. And some very light wear in various spots. The leather and wood surrounding the radio look great. This radio sounds great and is surprisingly loud.
