    Description

Listed here is what I believe to be a rare Heritage 8 Transistor Clock Radio made in Japan.  I'm not even sure if "Heritage" is a brand of transistor clock radio, but it is seriously the only sort of brand information I could find on it, and there is NO model numbers anywhere on it for easy identification.  I'm not sure how old it is, I'd guess mid to late 60's based on the style.  The clock portion of this radio swivels upwards and downwards, which is a fairly cool and novel design which combined with its appearance gives me a 60's atomic vibe.  The cosmetic condition is not perfect, with some dirt and gunk present.  The clock lens also has a subtle but visible thin crack between the 2 and 3 o' clock position.  There is also a small crack on the bottom of the radio right where the two halves come together.  I forgot to take a photo of this but I have reached the photo limit, so I decided to ask that you please send me a message if you want to see what the damage looks like.
In addition, a switch on the back of the radio has fallen off into the inside of the clock.  I am not sure which wire inside it's supposed to connect to, as I have not attempted to unscrew the circuit board from its original position.  The copper coil on the inside (by the clear PVC cube) looks a little dodgy to me in terms of condition.  The two knobs on the front for the volume and frequency feel odd when turned, as if they have fallen off before and were placed back on incorrectly.  This radio does not come with the original earpiece, and it runs on 9 volt batteries.  Unfortunately, when I recently plugged in a modern 9 volt battery into this radio, it did not turn on.  Therefore, this radio clock needs some sort of repair and I'm not sure what repair it needs.
If you happen to have any information about this particular transistor clock radio, please feel free to share because I'm genuinely curious, but I cannot find info online, since I have little more than visual clues to go on research-wise.
