    Description

    OCEAN OPTICS MPM-2000 Optical Multiplexer for Spectroscopy, converts 16 optical inputs to 1 optical output.  Manual available online, or I can send after purchase.  See last two photos for more info about this unit.
    Excellent Physical Condition.  Includes new 24VDC power supply.  No software, or other accessories included.  Previous owner has put tape over LED lights on front of unit.   I notice some versions of this device did not have these lights.  You can see where they used to have tape over the power indicator light as well.  You will probably need Ocean Optics software to use this device.  I see price quotes online for this unit over ,000!
    UPDATE:  I purchased a new 24V power supply.  When I connected it, the power light did not illuminate, so I got curious and opened the unit.  I found that previous owner has disconnected the Power and Trouble LEDs.  Also, the indicator LED (blue) that goes to the rotor.  I assume they did this to reduce stray light for their experiments.  They did leave a wiring diagram, in case anyone wants to reconnect the LEDs.  I briefly reconnected all three and the Power and blue Indicator LEDs worked.  Trouble LED did not light, but probably because it wasn't called for.  See new photos (last 3) just added.
    The rotor on this unit turns 360 degrees, then hits a stop.  So, it must self-reverse (or reset) rather than going round and round.  If you turn it to position #16, it spins down to position 1 when powered-up.  After a few seconds, it backs-off  few degrees.  I assume it requires a signal via the RS-232 type connector to reset.  The RS-232 only has 3 wires attached (ground, Transmit, and Receive).  No further testing was done.  I will leave the box not fully reassembled because it is sort of difficult to open.  But, it just snaps back together like Lego.
