Radio Loewe Opta Truxa 05741 W. S/N26953
I am presenting a beautiful German radio Fonovox by Opta Loewe Truxa, distinguished by solid wood case and remarkable clear sound, and can be used only from 110V to 127V AC.
This valued piece was manufactured in West Germany on 1960 to 1961 for to be used on USA market, bought by me from eBay on 2019 and immediately restored totally with professionally and carefully keeping values and accuracy position of each parts replaced included some tubes like the magic eye and other components, like a new and beautiful speakers grill cloth.
This radio is extraordinary piece still is in excellent shape, in all they ways. Remarkable part of the restoration was to incorporate a ON/OFF switch on the back-right side of the radio, this perfect and new switch doesn't affect any function of the radio and was necessary because the factory switch operating by the front key ON/OFF wasn't present and previous owner used the power like plug like a switch. PLEASE SEE PICTURE #8, WHERE THE ON/OFF SWICTH IS LOCATED.
Radio works with excellent sensitivity on two AM (BC), FM from 88 to 108 MHz and SW where is recommended to use external antenna. Actually the reception on FM and SW is by the internal FM antenna.
This radio has a stereo audio amplifier and can be used to reproduce music from a cellphone or other music or audio in general device.
