Authentic Buster Browns girlfriend Mary Jane Advertising Mannequin.
This girl from part line to floor is 27 inches tall but if I dont curve the tape measure to the part and just to the headline she is 25 inches tall.
A nice size for a mannequin and easy enough to move around.
She would have been a store add display for Mary Jane/ Buster brown shoes. These mannequins were made in the 1950s and 60s in this size and of a plasticene material that is not as moldable as vinyl more rigid like plastic.
If you have ever heard of Mary Jane shoes - this is the girl they were named for AND she is actually wearing authentic Buster Brown's Mary Jane style shoes, from the very era she is from (which might be original to her- they have never been used by a child- clean suede bottoms), also socks that are not tagged but are vintage and may be Buster Brown socks.
I gave her a same era vintage dress and matching slip, hand embroidered child dress, made in the Philippines around 1949-55 made for a baby of 12-24 months I think in very good condition.  Her condition is good also , air brush touch up to hair and blushing's.
She has the natural fading inherent to the plasticene mannequins.
She also has a few small grey spots maybe 8 so I showed a close of the 3 most noticable in last photo, any others are very small like pin head size on her fingers.
