Antique Japanese Samurai Iron Helmet Circa 1700's Saotome Ieharu

For your approval, Antique Japanese Samurai Iron Helmet Circa 1700's Saotome Ieharu.  I'm amazed by the quality of the iron work done this many years ago. This helmet is solid all the way around, and very heavy. It measures about 11 and 3/4 in front of the bill to the back of the helmet. At some point in time the helmet has been either painted or finished with a lacquer to preserve the metal. You can see spots of paint or corrosion in places underneath the finish. The name and date was supplied to me by a friend, see the mark. I'm not an expert in Japanese armor but overall I would have to say this is in pretty good condition given the age.
