    Description

    This is an Aiwa HS-JX849 model AM/FM Stereo Cassette Recorder walkman. As you can see from the first 2 photos, this is tested and it works. Take a look at the condition (photos). For this being 30+ years old, it's in great shape. A couple of minor nicks on the one side and a tiny dimple on the back that I tried to photograph, but hardly visible. I described these for 100% accuracy. Look at the photo of the interior. As far as I can tell, the interior is clean enough to eat out of - just amazing.
    The radio/stereo option works great and, without having a manual, all buttons and functions that I know and tested are in working condition. Keep in mind, there is no manual so I don't know all of the functions on this. I am not an expert on these, nor do I know anything about stereo equipment. If you want something specific tested, please ask and I'll be glad to check it as long as you explain how to do it.
    The cassette/tape option functions, however, when you push any of the buttons (Play, Rew, FF, etc.) those functions work for about 4-5 seconds and then stops. I'm told that this probably needs a new belt (which they sell on eBay), but I am not a technician. Nevertheless, you can see in the second photo that the cassette/tape read out function works and shows that it plays.
    This comes with the original remote. I've tested every function/button of the remote and it works fine. This also comes with the original gumstick battery, but I have no way of testing if this still holds a charge (again, they also sell replacements for these batteries plus chargers on eBay). This is all that this Aiwa JX-849 comes with. Not included is my universal Aiwa testing transformer cord, which cost an arm and a leg to buy just so that I could test this walkman.
