1957 Grundig 4040W 3D Klang Majestic Automatic German Tube Radio w/220 v Adapter

Description

Offering this Grundig Majestic 4040W/3D Klang tube radio in AS IS condition. Untested but in pretty sweet condition. Made in Germany and dated July 8, 1957. Appears to be complete with the exception of 1 tube, but there is an extra tube present (not sure if correct one). I see no broken wiring. There is also the adapter (taped to inside of back cover) for 220V. The cabinet is in excellent condition for age with the exception of the brass colored front trim that is worn. All buttons seem to work and in proper alignment. The back cover is slightly warped but otherwise in very good condition. Electrical plug is original and in good condition. I have taken many pictures and will send upon request. The front cloth is also in good condition with no tears. All speakers are present and labeled.
I am not an expert on tube radios and was advised not to plug the radio in unless tubes were checked (so I have not). Upon opening the back is when I found the extra tube and a missing one.
For those that are familiar with the Grundig radios, you know that this is truly one of the best. This radio may be an easy restoration but it definitely needs going through. Please email for any questions or pictures that will aid in your decision.
