Wawa recall: Over 60K tumblers recalled due to laceration hazard

Wawa is recalling 60,000 of its branded tumblers due to a laceration hazard caused by its metal straws, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The CPSC said that the metal straws can cut someone’s mouth when drinking or fingers if the product is held.
Four people have been injured due to the product’s defect as of Thursday.
The tumblers were sold at Wawa locations in Alabama, Washington D.C., Delaware, Florida, North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Maryland in August 2024.
The 24-ounce tumblers were sold in four differing styles.
The agency is urging people to stop using the metal straws and contact Halo Branding Solutions, the distributor of the product, for a replacement tumbler.
If a person doesn’t want a tumbler, they can also opt for a $15 gift card.
